Step onto the standout feature of this unique home first: a large, north-facing terrace overlooking Kampuchea Krom Blvd that catches the breeze rather than the sun, keeping this recently renovated flathouse noticeably cooler than most Phnom Penh properties for rent. Framed by potted greenery and open to rooftop skyline views over 7 Makara, it’s a genuine outdoor living space — big enough for a lounging area, morning coffee, or evening drinks with friends, and shaded enough to actually use in the middle of the afternoon.
Inside, this beautifully renovated 75m² home sits on the 4th floor of a private townhouse with its own street entrance, offering a quiet, residential setting just minutes from Central Market, Orussey Market, Vattanac Tower, Raintree Centre, and Olympic Stadium. The layout is smart and light-filled: a mezzanine bedroom sits above an open-plan kitchen and living area, with a separate sleeping area or office space giving flexibility for remote work or guests. Character touches — exposed steel beams, bamboo blinds, a full-height mirror, and colourful furnishings — give the interior warmth without feeling cluttered.
The kitchen is compact but functional, tucked neatly beneath the mezzanine staircase, while the fully furnished living space flows straight out onto that all-important north-facing terrace.
This pet-friendly home also includes secure moto parking nearby, making it an easy, practical choice for professionals and expats wanting a cool, breezy retreat close to the action without the noise.

About Kampuchea Krom Boulevard
Kampuchea Krom Boulevard takes its name from the historic Khmer region of the same name, once part of the Khmer Empire and now in southern Vietnam’s Mekong Delta. The boulevard runs past Phnom Penh’s iconic Central Market (built 1937) on its way toward Olympic Stadium — a route steeped in the capital’s history.
About Central Market
Central Market, known locally as Phsar Thmei (“New Market”), is one of Phnom Penh’s most iconic landmarks and a defining example of Art Deco architecture in Southeast Asia. It was built between 1935 and 1937 under French colonial rule, designed by French architect Jean Desbois. The market replaced an older marshy area that had previously been drained and filled, transforming what was once a swamp into a bustling commercial hub at the heart of the city.
Constructed from reinforced concrete—an innovative material choice for its time in Cambodia—the market features a distinctive dome-shaped central structure with four wings radiating outward in a cross formation, allowing natural light and ventilation to flow through the building. At the time of its completion, the dome was reportedly the largest in Asia, and the structure quickly became a symbol of modern urban design in colonial Phnom Penh.
Painted a striking mustard yellow, Phsar Thmei has survived decades of political upheaval, including the Khmer Rouge era, when much of the city’s commercial life was suspended. In the early 2000s, the market underwent a significant renovation, partly funded by the French Development Agency, restoring its original Art Deco character while modernizing its infrastructure. Today, it remains a vibrant center for shopping, food, and daily life in the capital.
