Details
Rarely does a property arrive on the Phnom Penh market that genuinely redefines what urban living can look like. This breathtaking four-bedroom loft apartment, fully renovated on the 3rd and 4th floors of a striking contemporary building in Riverside, Daun Penh, is exactly that kind of home.
The living space is simply unlike anything else available in the city. Vast double-height ceilings, exposed steel structural elements, banks of floor-to-ceiling glazing and a sweeping open-tread staircase create an interior with the drama and grandeur of a Manhattan loft — right in the heart of Phnom Penh. The open-plan lounge and dining area flows seamlessly into a beautifully appointed kitchen, complete with French-door refrigerator, gas hob, built-in oven, marble splashback, oak cabinetry and a dedicated wine cooler. Every detail has been considered.
Upstairs, a light-filled mezzanine landing with city views leads to four spacious bedrooms, all featuring hardwood flooring, air-conditioning, ceiling fans and quality timber furniture. The principal suite commands attention with its hotel-calibre marble en-suite — double vanity, overhead rainfall shower and teak accessories throughout. The remaining three bedrooms are equally well-served, each with its own elegantly finished bathroom. Two wide private balconies open the home to the Phnom Penh skyline.
Available fully furnished and fully equipped — right down to cookware, crockery and bedding — this is a genuine move-in-ready residence.
The location is equally compelling: Central Market, the Old Market, the riverside promenade, Wat Phnom, Lycée Descartes and the US Embassy are all reachable on foot within minutes.

About nearby Independence Monument from Wikipedia:
“… Independence Monument was built in 1958 to memorialize Cambodia’s independence from France in 1953.
It stands on a roundabout in the intersection of Norodom Boulevard and Sihanouk Boulevard in the centre of the city.
It is in the form of a lotus-shaped stupa, of the style seen at the temple at Banteay Srei and other Khmer historical sites.
The Independence Monument was designed by the Cambodian architect Vann Molyvann, who was “personally selected and instructed” by Prince Norodom Sihanouk on how it should look like, combining ‘the religious and the secular’.
It stands 37 metres tall…”
Riverside, Daun Penh: the real downtown
Riverside, the real downtown is the old city – Wat Phnom, Old Market, Kandal Market and Chaktomuk.
Many generations’ footprints are here – Angkor kings, French colonists and UN troops.
It is where the Mekong, Tonle Sap and Bassac rivers meet and where the Water Festival takes place each year.
Riverside is always stunning especially at sunrise and sunset. Day and night it is busy and a popular tourist spot.
Sisowath Quay (in honor of King Sisowath) is the riverfront road. It starts at the Buddhist Institute and continues north to Japanese Bridge.
There it becomes Road 6 and out of the city.
The area has a wide choice of restaurants, wellbeing services, hotels, shops and bars.
Among the restaurants, you will find Italian, French, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Malaysian.
