About Toul Kork
Toul Kork — known locally as “TK” — sits in the north and northwest of Phnom Penh, separated from the CBD by Russian Boulevard. The name comes from the Khmer for “ground hill” (in some transliterations, Tuol Kouk, meaning “dry hill”), and the district runs from the area around Boeung Kak Lake out to the developed pockets further west. Its northern reaches have grown steadily more affluent, with housing now priced comparably to what you’d find in town.
Being outside the city center gives Toul Kork a genuinely different rhythm — it’s the natural choice for anyone after a quieter pace of life. Wide roads and a spacious layout give it a suburban feel, though the district has taken on a far more commercial character in recent years, joining Tonle Bassac, Daun Penh, and BKK1 among Phnom Penh’s established housing options.
